Arrival record in Hjortshøj may also be his death record: notation about 29 Aug 1854 regarding this baby. Or it could just be a vaccination date. But he doesn’t show up on the 1860 Census with his family.
No record of death/burial in Hjortshøj 1854-1863. Some potential records in Feldballe 1856, “Niels Nielsens Søn…” but not easily legible. There are many, many records of children dying in Feldballe in this time period and as this is where the parents were from, they may well have gone home to bury their first child.
