Bent and Vibeke lived in Eltang across from Købmand Johansen’s store, which was inherited by his son Leif and finally closed when Leif retired in 2024 (see attached newspaper article from Vejle Amts Folkeblad, 22 Aug 2024 “Købmand Leif fra Eltang er død”, for which Bent was interviewed). Aase (Lassen) Bauer remembers Købmand Johansen as being a man who was full of life, and her parents Asta and Frederik enjoyed spending time with the Johansens.
