Lorraine M. Frahm, 81
Lorraine M. Frahm, 81, of Fort Calhoun, died Saturday, April 27, 2002, in Omaha.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Lorraine M. Frahm was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Washington, Neb., to Lars and Josephine (Petersen) Rasmussen. She grew up in Washington, and met her husband-to-be, Edgar Frahm, at a dance at the “Dutch Hall”, (also known as the German Hall) which is no longer standing.
She married Edgar Frahm on Aug. 17, 1940, at her parent’s home in Washington. The couple lived on the farm from that day forward, and were married 61 years.
Mrs. Frahm was a member of the “Better Homes” Extension Club, and was an assistant 4-H Club leader for the “Mother’s Helpers” 4-H Club.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Frahm, and daughter, Ruth Boham, both of Fort Calhoun, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janie Frahm of Bennington, daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Jon Maloney of Blair, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar.
Memorials are suggested to the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church or the Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad.
